Allow distribution groups to be recipients of emailed reports

Right now, to receive a report the email address MUST be assigned to a user. This limits who can receive the report. Can this be opened to using any email, so we can use distribution groups or shared mailboxes as well as individual user mailboxes?

I agree. I'd like to send automated reports to Teams channels, and in some cases direct to the customers.
