Liongard relies on a large number of third-party REST APIs that are frequently changing. It would be useful for vendors to provide timely information about common types of API changes (new endpoints, changes to existing endpoints, deprecated endpoints, partial service interruptions, etc.) via a standardized endpoint with a standardized format (ex: /api/v1/announcements provides a response with an array of date, type, title, and body keys). This information would allow us to address changes more proactively and provide better, more automated guidance to partners when an API is having issues.Unfortunately, that doesn't exist, but Liongard could develop this standard, implement it for our own API, and then promote its adoption by other vendors. If it is adopted more widely, this would make it easier for Liongard to maintain REST API inspectors. If it isn't, it's still a nice feature for partners who rely on our API.
