Management of UPS

Would like ups's to appear in liongard for lifecycle management. Specifically apc and tripplite.

How about merging this in to a general UPS category
Most UPS units support SNMP using a standard MIB + a vendor specific one
Another option is to create an appliance using Network UPS Tools (NUT) which already understands most UPS units and provides a standard API to gather information from every UPS it supports

Any update on this? It's been almost 4 years since an update.

I don't understand how this is still not something that's available. The requirement would just be that the UPS have a network management card (NMC) and that SNMP is configured for at least read-only access. The SNMP MIBs are well known and easily available. You would just need the onsite probe to do an SNMP scan every day or x hours and you can pull in the basic info just like every RMM does. The benefit for us with having this in Liongard vs RMM would be the historical tracking and more intelligent alerts flows.

Here are some ideas we'd like to see:1 - I’d like to see a history of on/off battery cycles and what the final battery capacity was when power came back up. Something that would help us say, based on previous power outages, this UPS is worth 60 minutes of runtime in its current load-shedding configuration. 2 - This is specific to the Network Shutdown using the Management Card flavor of things - but having a list of Registered Agents would be nice - this will tell us the Hypervisor Hosts and or Physical Servers that the UPS management card is responsible for controlling in terms of shut down signals. 3 – General configuration like any device: Network settings / IP, shutdown options as programmed, other options that are programmed in PowerChute, event history?
