Currently, it looks like the columns for metrics are ordered based on which 1 was created first. You can move them around to how you want, but it looks like it only saves it for that report. If we edit a template and re-order a column, it would be nice to have it stay in its position

I’d like to echo the feedback shared here. The inability to permanently reorder metric columns in report templates significantly impacts usability and report customization. In our workflow, aligning the column order is crucial for readability and consistency across reports - especially when sharing them with stakeholders.

Having the flexibility to define and retain the column order at the template level would streamline reporting and reduce the need for repetitive manual adjustments. I strongly support prioritizing this enhancement. It would be a valuable improvement for teams relying on consistent reporting structures.

I've run into this issue as well. Currently, it’s not possible to change the order of the metric columns in a report template—even temporarily. As soon as we try to reorder them and save, the report resets to the default order based on when the metrics were created. This makes it impossible to customize the layout of the report, even for one-time viewing. Having the ability to reorder and retain that column order—especially at the template level—would be a huge improvement for usability and consistency.
