Feature Requests

Sophos XG End of life since 03-2025 / XGS released in April 2021 - still no new Inspector availabe
Like discussed in Ticket #6617, we are disappointed, that there is no possibility right now, to keep our documentation of Sophos Firewalls up to date. XG was retired in Q1.2025, so we had to move all customers to XGS models. Like discussed with Sohel, we now have a gap of several month to wait for the "new" XGS Inspector to be developed, even thogh it is based on the same firmware, the XG-Series used to work with. There seems to be no process to keep those inspectors up to date. We experience the same problem for HP Procurve inspectors with HPE Aruba 2xxx series working fine. In November 2021 HPE introduced the "new" CX 6xxx series, wich are still not supported by now. We would appreciate an internal process at Liongard to keep those commonly used inspectors up to date and compatible to future firmware and product relaeses - at least for the "big vendors". We would appreciate some dedicated resources at Liongard that are taking care of "making and keeping the inspectors work". As a customer, I would expect, that there is no need to "vote up" the "feature request" to keep commonly used inspectors working - that should be a maintanance task for the Inspector Team at Liongard. In my oppinion it should be key priority to "keep inspectors working" and up to date. It should be prioritized before releasing new features. As an MSP we rely on automated processes and documentation. As soon as a "gap" appears in the documentation, its a problem in our service delivery to our customers. We have to explain the customer, why we dont have acutal data anymore and some "promised features", we sold to the customer simply does not work anymore. Our customers do not understand, why those documentation gaps exist and expect from us to proactively prevent this situations, like we expect it from Liongard. Sorry for pointing this out so directly - I'm convinced the maintenance of the Inspectors should be put on the strategic roadmap with a much higher priority to maintain the great capabilities, Liongard has. Kind Regards Markus Hire a project manager an additional recources to maintain functionality of existing inspectors. Prioritize debugging of Sophos XG(S) and HP Procurve Inspector to work fine again. Reduce the pace for releasing new features and focus on the core functionality of Liongard.
